Two Cases of Ramsay Hunt¢¥s Syndrome

Abstract
|
|
|
Author experienced recently two cases of herpes zoster oticus.
First case. A 50 year old male was admitted to the hospital on 4th Nov. ¢¥70, with complaints of right otalgia, hearing disturbance and facial paralysis for past 14- weeks.
On physical examination there were peripheral -faciall expressional muscle paralysis on right side Sand multiple vesicular lesions mixed with brownish crust an anterior surface of right auricle.
Second case. A 26 year -old male came in the hospital with complaints of right otalgia, nausea and right facial paresthesia for past 4 days.
On physical examination there were right peripheral facial paralysis and herpetic blisters mixed with crust on right auricle.
Both of two cases were considered as Ramsay Hunt¢¥s syndrome and all symptoms and signs subsided within 2-6 weeks by treatment with prednisolone, aureomycin and vitamins.
